Forest Bathing in the Japanese Gardens

  • Birmingham Botanical Gardens 2612 Lane Park Road Birmingham, AL, 35223 United States (map)

Shinrin-yoku, or Forest Bathing, is a guided immersion in nature. Through a series of simple invitations, participants open their senses and connect with the living world of the Japanese Garden. Each invitation is followed by a sharing circle, and the final session ends with hot tea. Studies show that Forest Bathing supports well-being and provides an opportunity to relax and reinvigorate.
